Zeke was walking down to Working Man’s Gas Station to buy some candy for him and Annabel, which he did with frequency. He spent most of his days after and out of school, reading or chilling out, watching tv and eating candy with his little sister. He tried desperately to fill the gap that Angel left when she disappeared, a gap that Annabel and Zeke both knew he couldn’t fill on his own.
But he was packing some spare change in his pocket for Razzles and Zingers and wanted to buy before he got bugged for what bit of money he had left. But sure enough, there were some hooligans hanging around like they usually did.
“Hey Hipster!” One guy with greased back hair, yelled.
Zeke paused and started to open his mouth. I shouldn’t say anything back…
“Hey Ignorant!” Zeke yelled back, with a sarcastic smile and wave. But I will anyways… |

"I'll take five of the Blue Lips and you got any Grass?"
Darrin was in the process of selling some of the goodies he'd picked up from his dealer, Zan, in the back of the Working Man's Gas Station, his usual spot. Despite how kind and loving he was with Angel, there was part of him that was surprisingly street thug.
"I'll give it to you for seventy." Darrin said, firm.
"Fifty." His customer said quickly.
Darrin growled and reached up to grab the boy, but paused upon hearing a slight fuss in the front. |

“What you say, boy?” The Greaser asked, moving towards Zeke.
“Boy? Um…You go to school with me; we’re in the same grade. I might be a boy but you are too.” Zeke pointed out.
“You shouldn’t run your mouth; you’ll get your ass handed to you again.” The guy said.
“It’s inevitable I think, but it’s a team effort too. I’ll run my mouth regardless. But if you don’t want to kick my ass, you don’t HAVE to.” Zeke said.
“Just shut up!” The guy yelled, stopping a foot or two in front of Zeke.
“But you started talking to ME. If you want me to shut up, don’t fucking address me! It’s that simple, you fucking delegate!” Zeke yelled back.
“What the hell did you call me?” The Greaser hissed, closing the distance and yanking Zeke up by his shirt.
“Oh boy, here we go kids.” Zeke said under his breath before the Greaser nailed him in the mouth. |

Darrin had stepped out of the alleyway beside the station just in time to see two boys going at it, or rather, one boy going at it while the other took it. Of course he hadn't seen the beginnings of the skirmish, but something told him that the brute was the one at fault, the antagonist.
"Oi, thug, drop the kid, yeah?" Darrin shouted, brows furrowed as he stepped forward some. |

Zeke glanced over; a little bit of blood dripping off his now split lip. But his eyes were lazy as though he was numb to it by now, he as used to the abuse. But the Greaser’s head whipped around to see Darrin.
“Yeah? What are you gonna do?” He asked, dropping Zeke who landed on his rump with a thud. |

"I'll fight you if that's what you're asking, but do you REALLY want to pick a fight with someone from Corsante's pack?" Darrin said with a low growl, reaching into his pocket to grab the standard issued Corsante issued switchblade. He wasn't one to 'tango', due to his heart condition, but for the most part he avoided fights by merely name-dropping or going to reach for his blade, as he was doing now. It was normally enough to spook people. |

The Greaser stood, grinding his teeth in thought when the Corsante name was dropped. He was debating on if he wanted to fight now, that was a respected gang in these parts.
“I wouldn’t do it if I were you Pal, save it for the Soc’s.” Zeke said from the ground, wiping his lip.
“…Fine…” The Greaser gave in and walked off, brooding, back to his group. |

Darrin pulled his hand back from his pocket, eyes glaring at the back of the brute, his stare looking like it could scorch into the boys back. He stood there still for a moment before moving over to the victim in the incident. He crouched down and offered out a hand.
"You alright?" He asked. |

“I’m fine, thanks.” Zeke said, taking his hand and standing up. Than brushing himself off and feeling his lip. |

"Busted lip." Darrin nodded, as if to inform Zeke. |

“Yeah, that’s what it feels like.” Zeke shrugged.
He looked a lot like someone, someone like Angel. For a boy, he shared the soft features. Although his hair was a light brown in comparison to her light blond hair, and his eyes were green to her hazel, the shape was the same and the shade of green Angel’s eyes sometimes turned looked exactly the same. However, Angel carried herself differently; her gaze was frightened when not curious. But this male’s gaze was bored, tired. Perhaps there was no relation? |

Darrin furrowed his brows as he mulled over the similarities between this boy and...someone he knew. He didn't look like he might be someone to buy drugs, so as for ex-customer he probably wasn't one. He didn't look like someone who he'd had a tiff with, so other gang member probably wasn't it eitehr.
"Do...I know you from somewhere?" Darrin dared to ask. |

“I don’t think so, friend. I mean, if you go to the high school you might’ve seen me there. But I don’t think that’s it.” Zeke shrugged. |

"Well...you look like someone I know, but I can't put a finger on it." Darrin said. "Do you have any family in town?" He asked. |

“Ah well, my Mom of course. And then there’s my little sister Annabel and…I have slash had a twin sister too once upon a time.” Zeke said, rubbing the back of his head. |
