"Please Mom?" Haze said, looking up to his mom with big eyes and a pouted lip, a look that ALWAYS won his mother over.

She pursed her lips and sighed before laughing.

"It's nothing." Candice laughed with a shake of her head. "Well, lets go in then so you boys can cook."

Candice looked at Franky for a moment before grinning and stepping forward to stride in front of Haze and him. She'd never been treated like a 'lady', at least not after she found herself pregnant. She was often regarded as trash, a slut, and other cruel things, so to have Franky treating her so politely, it was refreshing.

Franky nodded and smiled as he followed after them. His Father was a woman, and child beater. But Franky’s main concern was his Mother, all the time. So he made it a priority to be polite, generous, and just an all around gentleman.

Candice went ahead and headed up to the house, opening up the door and slipping in, followed by Haze. She went ahead and slipped off her shoes and waited patiently for Franky to trail her and Haze.

Franky stepped in behind the two and shut the door behind him. He followed their influence and kicked off his shoes at the door.

"Kitchen is this way, Franky." Haze announced as he finished kicking his shoes off and started for a rather dinky looking kitchen towards the back of the house.

Candice smiled at her son's enthusiasm and looked to Franky.

"Since I won't be cooking, I'm going to take a quick shower. I'll be out shortly." She said before heading towards a narrow stare case that lead to the upstairs.

Haze was already pulling down pots and pans to start cooking. He looked over his shoulder at Franky from his task at the pot rack and grinned.

"We don't have a lot of nice pots and pans, but there's a good non-stick pan on the stovetop already and some olive oil on the fridge if you want to go ahead and cook up the chicken. You're probably better at it than me." He said as he pulled a pot down for the broccoli.

Franky nodded and went ahead and got out the pan and retrieved the olive oil before returning to the stove and getting started. He had a fond smile as he worked, he loved being in the kitchen.

Haze finished the preparations for the broccoli quickly and tossed it on a back burner and moved onto the rice. He looked over to Franky, watching him intently with curiosity in his eyes. He was amazed at his talent in the kitchen and he began to wonder if he could be that good too.

Franky went from a fond smile to a entertained grin as he moved around the kitchen more, adding things here and there when he could. He never reached his full potential in the culinary field, much to his dismay. But little nights like this made up for it most of the time.

“Hey Haze; I got a question for you.” Franky started.

"Yeah?" Haze said, going back to looking at his rice to make sure it wasn't sticking to the pan.
