"Why shouldn't I be?" Franky asked. In truth, Haze kind of reminded him a lot of himself, or at least someone in the old gang. But Franky was generous by nature anyways.

"I donno, a lot of people in Fort Morgan just aren't nice, you know? But you're like EXTRA nice to me." Haze said with a nod. "Its not that I'm complaining or anything, just curious."

"Well, in my own philosophy, one should be surprised when someone else is nice to them or respects them. It should be expected. But, you remind me a lot of myself and the guys when we were your age. And thinking back on it, I wished more people were nice to us. Maybe things would've been different." Franky shrugged.

Soon enough Franky and Haze were going down Haze's street and when he looked out the front window he could see his mother climbing out of her vehicle parked out in front of the house.

"Mom's home." Haze instantly beamed. He was what it seemed...a Momma's Boy.

“Well go get’er.” Franky laughed slightly, pulling up to a stop so Haze could go flag his Mother down.

Haze quickly took the offer and hopped out, bumping the door shut with his butt as his hands were full, and hurried over to Candice. He promptly greeted her with a kiss and a grin.

"Hey Mom, you have a good day?" He asked.

Haze had always been that kindhearted boy when it pertained to his mother. He was always eager to greet her when she got home, more than happy to dote on her like a queen. He felt indebted to her for doing so much for him and loving him over the years, so he made it a point to be the best son around, doing anything and everything for her.

"It was a good day." Candice smiled as she reached out and ran a hand through Haze's hair in a motherly affectionate way. "What'd you bring home for me to cook?" She asked with a grin as she tried to peek into teh bag.

By now Franky had parked and locked the car up and was approaching.

“Actually, Haze and I were going to cook.” He said with a charming grin.

Candice looked up, blinking, but smiled and furrowed her brows at Franky with a head shake.

"No, no, no, I'm the cook here." She insisted.

"But Mom..." Haze interjeccted with a sigh. "You're a terrrrible cook."
