Just as Haze went to shut the car door he heard the screen door to the house squeak, followed by it snapping shut. The sound of heels clicking on the concrete stoop made him turn around. His mother was jogging down the pathway leading to the street from the house where the family car was parked. She looked up, tucking her long brown hair behind her ear and did a double take when she saw Haze.

"Hazel, where've you been? I tried calling Luca and Darrin's but they said you've been gone all day." His mother, Candice said, reassigning her path towards Haze. She walked over to him and pushed his hair from his face and pecked a kiss to his forehead in an affectionate manner. "I didn't even get to cook dinner for you."

"Mom its fine. I was out with...ah...Mom, this is Franky." Haze gestured to Franky in the driver's seat of the car. "Franky this is my mom, Candice. He was just taking me out for a quick bite." He said with a nod, looking back to his mother.

Candice 'ah'ed and looked to Franky, smiling a dazzling white smile and brushing her long brunette hair form her face.

"Thank you for taking him out, I know how much he complains about my cooking." Candice laughed a little.

Franky opened his mouth to start to mention how whole thing came about, but paused and grinned charmingly.

“It wasn’t a problem. He’s a fine boy and I enjoyed his company, and he brought some food home with him so he should be set.” Franky nodded, grinning still.

"Oh, thank you very much! You'd better have behaved." Candice said, laughing some as she looked to Haze. She placed an arm around her son's shoulders and pressed antoher kiss to the side of his head. "Thank you, again." She said looking to Franky.

"Yeah, thanks." Haze said, smiling.

Candice continued to beam until she slipped a glance at her watch and sighed.

"Gosh darn it, I'd better head out. I'm going to be late if I don't leave now." She said, sounding rather disappointed. She stepped away from Haze and looked to Franky one last time and uttered another thanks before trotting back over to the beat up old Toyota they owned, slipping inside and starting up the shoddy sounding engine.

“I’d better be heading out too, stay out of trouble, yeah?” Franky eyed Haze. ‘Staying out of trouble’ in this light meant, aside from the usual. “If you ever need anything come find me,” He nodded at Haze.

"Will do." Haze saluted before shutting the door and stepping back onto the curb where he waved both to Candice and Franky.

Franky was taking a leisurely stroll through the park like he had been doing on routine as of late. The park, despite how run down it was, had a lot of good memories for him. From the days when it was just him and Sydney, to the final days when the gang would be running through after midnight, jumping fences and what not.

Haze was dusting off the seat of his pants as he walked through the park, money in tow in place of his normal stash of drugs. He'd just gotten a whole slough of drugs over Darrin's head from another dealer he'd met and was now selling some 'real shit'. Of course he'd tried to cheat the buyer a little, figuring if he was selling legitimate drugs, he ought to be selling it for a legitimate price. This, however, got him knocked around some until they 'haggled' a price out of him.

He was slightly perturbed and annoyed by the scuffle to say the least.

"Ungrateful pigs." He uttered, dusting the rest of him off when he glanced up to see Franky dead ahead. His eyes instantly lit up and he scurried over. "Franky!"

Franky looked up and smiled upon seeing Haze.

“Hey Punk!” He called out playfully with a grin.

"Hey, what're you doing here?" Haze grinned as he skid to a halt. Despite his scuffled appearance, he still managed to look childishly innocent.

"Nothin' much, heading home. Just finished a deal, you know and now I'm gonna hit the store to get some groceries for my Mom." Haze grinned, holding up a wad of fives.
