"He's a good boy, he deserves it." Franky nodded. "Same applies to you, not that you'd tell me what you'd like for Christmas if I asked." Franky added.
"You've already given us enough by letting us stay here. That's more than anyone else has ever given us." Candice stated. In the life Candice led after giving birth to Haze, she learned that kindness was a gift, not necessarily a commodity, so when Franky came along with his chivalry and all of his kindness, it threw her for a bit of a tailspin and put her in a place where constant gratitude was in order. She never had to ask for anything with Franky, especially not kindness, and while she knew this well, she never got used to it and she doubted that she ever would. "If anything, I should be asking what YOU want for Christmas." She said, reaching over to jab at his chest with a grin.
"For you and Haze to just let me take care of you both, be comfortable and happy." Franky said, batting away her hand. In truth, Candice and Haze had given him what he wanted for a long time. A woman and child to dote on and love, companionship and the sense of a family. Franky came from a broken home, into a house where everybody wound up dying or running away. This is the first peace he'd had in a long time.
