| "Just the usual house work and then work-work routine. I was doing a few touch ups in the living room." Candice gestured to her outfit which, as it turned out, was smudged with paint, confirming her activities. "I've got work later tonight, but that's about it." |

Franky pulled a bit of a face, looking down and fidgetting with the hem of his shirt. He had made it a point to never really say anything about Candices line of her work. He understood it, his mom had done it when he was a boy and he knew that sometimes that's what it takes to bring home the bacon. And Franky would never judge or look at Candice differently because of her work, but he wished she wouldn't do it still.
"Say uh, Candice? I know it's not my place at all but um...Have you considered at all maybe quitin'?" Franky asked. |

| "Oh...well..." Candice bit at the inside of her lips and looked away, fidgeting a bit with the strap on her overalls. Truthfully, the thought hadn't crossed her mind, ever. She had taken up stripping after her parents threw she and Haze out and it had been a means of financial stability, moreover, a lifestyle. She wasn't sure she could necessarily live without it due to her lack of skills outside of stripping, a lack of a high school diploma, so on and so forth. "Well...I don't know, not...really." She said, biting at her lip. |

| "Well you know, I'm not going to force you or anything; I couldn't if even if I wanted to." Franky said quickly as though afraid to offend Candice. "But you know, if you want to quit you could. I invited you and Haze here, I want to take care of you both. Between what I'm making and what Lorain left we're more than better off financially; you really don't need to work if you don't want to." He said, fidgetting idly with the brim of his glass. |

| "I understand that, but I just want to make sure that you know that you don't have to." Franky nodded, licking his lips. "You guys would never be a burden to me, I love Haze; he's like my own kid. And you, Candice, you're so great, a great mom and just, great everything. You deserve better; that's all I'm trying to say." Franky said. |
