Most expect more pay, instead of $8.75 - $11.00 plus tips tha a pizza guy gets, a full-service catering driver earns $13.50 - $16.00 with no tips, but if full-time will have health insurance. Also the catering driving I did in college was using company trucks, not our own car. So turnover might be higher if by "catering" you mean delivering sandwiches or pasta. In my area, catering drivers wear the same uniform as the caterers, deliver tubs of hot food, and frequently help with unloading and setup before heading back to the store for the next run. They may also stay as a caterer if there are no additional deliveries needed until the event is over.
