"Well...maybe a little." Darrin chuckled as a slight flush turning on in hsi cheeks as he reached up with his spare hand to rub at his neck. He then side glanced Angel with a grin.

Angel was blushing too, but to no one’s surprise that didn’t take much. She nervously chuckled for loss of words. Zeke arched both brows now.

“Are you two…?” He started.

“Like…Together…As a couple?” Zeke asked, eyeing both his twin and Darrin carefully. Angel flushed and stuttered, nervous, of course.

"Ah...actually...not...quite." Darrin nodded, glancing down to Angel. "That isn't to say that we don't hvae feelings but...er...we're taking it slow, neither of us know where to go really." He admitted.

Angel nodded in agreement, loosing the color in her face finally feeling relieved that Darrin answered for them. Zeke nodded slowly with a thoughtful look.

“Well…Thank you, for taking care of my sister.” Zeke started. “But, it’s time for her to go home I think.” He nodded.

Angel’s eyes got wide slightly and she shook her head slowly. Zeke furrowed his brows, not understanding why she would refuse.

“No, sweetheart it’s okay, he’s not there.” He said, in reference to their father. Zeke didn’t need to hear what he did, he could assume that much. He didn’t know for sure but there was always a certain way that their father looked at Annabel and Angel that made Zeke’s skin crawl.

“No,” Angel said blankly. “It’s not him.” She added, shaking her head still. She had tensed and backed up a step, as though she was going to run again.

"Angel, you dont' want to go with your brother?" Darrin asked, brows furrowed in confusion as well as he looked at Angel.

Angel continued to shake her head and back up; she didn’t know where she was going to run to. But it was what she always did, scared or tense. Angel had endured her abuse with her Father for a long time, telling her Mother and people of their church the whole time of the on goings. But nobody believed her, her own Mother had the audacity to tell Angel that she was just a liar and a filthy sinner for such accusations. Angel wasn’t eager to go home to that woman or return to their lifestyle. Not like any of the children really fit into their family anymore.

“Azie…C’mon…What’s wrong?” Zeke asked quietly, trying not to hit a nerve.

Darrin merely held his face, watching Angel intently, keeping his hand on her shoulder and giving it a slight squeeze to remind her that he was there.

Angel bit at her bottom lip, shifting her hips and shuffling her feet, itching to run but Darrin’s grip kept her in place.

“I just…I can’t…I don’t have to go…Do I?” Angel asked quietly.

“Well…No, but I just figured you would want to. Be with the family again, me and Annabel have missed you like crazy. And Mom has been worried sick too.” Zeke said, disappointment in his tone.

Angel just kept shaking her head slowly, eyes wide and afraid. In her mind her Mother didn’t care, not nearly enough. And because of that Angel felt as though she was not welcome.

"Ah...Ezekiel, can I talk to you real quick? Angel, why don't you go into the kitchen. I bout you some of those juice boxes like I said I would." Darrin said, looking down at Angel with a fond smile, hoping to put her qualms at ease. "I'll be right in after I share a quick word with your brother, won't take more than a minute." He said, rubbing at her upper arm soothingly.

Angel nodded slowly, not taking her eyes off of Zeke as she backed up and eventually turned and walked into the kitchen. Zeke watched her walk out, brows knitted in concern and disappointment. He wanted nothing more than to be reunited with his twin. But she didn’t want to come home with him.

"I...uh...Ezekiel, I think its best Angel stays here for awhile longer. I mean... she's been through a lot and she's just getting back on her feet and all." Darrin said, reaching up to run a hand through his hair as he let out a puff of breath.

“Well I understand that, I mean, if she’s been on her own on the streets as long as I think she has…But, I just thought that would mean she’d be all the more ready to come home.” Zeke shrugged, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Well...when I found her...she wasn't much of a people person. In all honesty, she's just started coming out of her shell, you know, after what happened and all." Darrin nodded.
