"Well...that's Fort Morgan for you." Haze said, nodding and biting at his lip. He might have had HIS group together still, but he'd still seen his peers fall, seen their friends mourn.

"Yeah, I'm at least glad I could get Dale out of here. He wouldn't have lasted long." Franky admitted, he knew damn well Dale was dumb enough to do anything to get killed. Sometimes he wondered if Dale wanted to die, not that he hoped that was the case. But Dale was so connected to his brother, when Sydney passed, it wouldn't have been surprising if Dale had intentions to die.
Luca was sitting on a park bench overlooking the shoddy park playground equipment, watching his brother after having finished a deal with a small group of teens who were currently vacating the area. Luca was counting out his cash and was getting ready to put a call into Haze to get some "product", since Darrin had essentially quit the shady part of their gang work at Angel's request and due to him having to get an honest job to support his little papoose on the way.
"Luca! Luca! Look! Look what I can do!" Nico called out, making Luca look up to see the child dangling upside down on some monkey bars with a wide grin on his baby-fat ridden face.
"That's pretty cool, Nic. Better be careful." Luca warned, a light smile on his usually stone-cold looking face. He glanced back down at the stack of cash in his hand and went to pull out his phone to put in the call.

Yun was stationed at the far end of the park today. Usually since she was rather well behaved, Luster let her have more free run and go farther then the other girls. But needless to say because she was so good, she was his favorite. Surely he couldn’t be too far away, watching over her.
She had washed up this morning in the back of The Dime so her long dark hair wasn’t mangled or tangled; it was in a loose fishtail braid that went down the center of her back. Her round face was pristine and washed, eyes simple and clean with her make up washed away. Yun was the kind of girl who was pretty without any makeup on, though she looked nice with it too. She was wearing a long peasant dress that was colored to match a sunset. And it was winter so she was obviously freezing, but the workers at The Dime lent her some wool gloves, boots, and hooded shawl that matched her dress in a paler shade to her dress.
With the shawl wrapped tight around her, closed to her curved body, she trembled and shook slightly as she tried to look for ‘customers.’ Finally, some young gent came almost running at her, he rubbed his hands eager and nervously, looked around with anxiousness.
“Hey doll, wanna go somewhere?” He asked.
“Depends, what you want. Everyone’s got to make their living with mouths to feed you know.” Yun shrugged.
“Oh come on, I’m a friend of your guy!” He yelled.
“I don’t know what your problem is, but if you’re not BUYING then I’m not SELLING.” She said sternly.
“You can’t do that! It’s your job!”
“You get PAID for a job!”
At this point the man seemed defeated as he let out a frustrated yell before turning and stomping away. But he quickly turned on his heel and charged at Yun, gripping her arms and trying to drag her back towards the way he came from. She yelled and jerked her body and yelled for Luster. If he was near by, he wasn’t coming.
Luca had just pressed in the phone number when he heard a flurry at the back of the park. Usually there wasn't much of a fuss in the area, it was somewhat of a neutral area for gang activity. No one claimed the area and they were all free to roam on it, so no one could be fighting for it, right? He looked up and saw a man trying to haul off a young woman and he narrowed his eyes as he jumped up. He hurried over and pulled Nico down from the bars and crouched down to his level, handing him his phone.
"Hold that, alright? I'm gonna go help that lady over there, if anything gets out of hand, just press call. Hazel will show up." Luca instructed, calm and cool as he usually was. "And," he began, standing up, "if anyone comes tries to come and hassle you, go to the car and lock yourself in."
Nico furrowed his brows, clearly worried. He'd seen his brother go off to fight and he knew very well to act, but it always made him worried and a bit flustered, as it would for any normal kid.
Luca brushed his fingers through his brother's hair once before heading off towrads the tiff.
"Hey! Let her go, man!" Luca shouted as he made his way across the grassy area of the park towards the twosome.

“This ain’t any o’ your business!” The guy yelled, clearly, this guy was on SOMETHING.
He had turned Yun around so her back was pressed hard to his chest as he placed one hand around her throat and ran the other down her side and past her hip, heading for ‘candy land.’ Yun’s frantic eyes darted to Luca, she wasn’t necessarily a selfish person. Someone like Angel would tell the person to run. But Yun was smart enough to know, in Fort Morgan when you got caught up in trouble, all the help you could round up would be helpful. And Yun regularly can handle herself, but what with a baby trying to grow inside her…she didn’t have the heart to risk loosing it in a tiff after already loosing one.
"I just made it my business!" Luca spat back as he dug his hand into his pocket, reaching for his pocket knife, standard issue amongst the members in his gang. "And when Luca Corsante gets involved with 'business', you can bet your ass that its serious." He said, yanking out his knife, flicking it right open. Out of all the members in the Corsante's little pack, Luca was the most straight and to the point. If someone wasn't going to listen to him, he'd MAKE them listen. "Now let the girl go while I ask NICELY."

Yun remained calm and quiet, her struggle ceased when Luca had shown up. She knew who he was and so did the perpetrator. Nobody retaliates against Luca, not guys like this at least. The guy looked around anxiously, licking at his lips, unsure what to do. But it wasn’t before long he opted that Yun wasn’t worth getting stabbed over and cried out before throwing her at Luca’s feet and running off.
’Go on, go get more drugs and try to rape someone else later. You’ve got an excellent life plan set up for yourself.’ Yun thought bitterly with her face shoved into the snow.
But she didn’t stay in that position for more than a minute as she sat up and hugged her now, cold and wet shawl against her shivering body.
“Thanks,” She nodded looking up at Luca, a recognizable half grin on her face.
Luca shrugged some and tucked his knife back away before offering a hand out to Yun.
"Just doing what was right, you know? No one should treat a woman like that." Luca said with a slight nod, his face as serious looking as ever. He gestured with a nod of his head over his shoulder, "Besides, what kind of example would I be setting for my brother if I didn't stand up for what was right?" He asked, looking back at his brother himself. The little boy was grinning from ear to ear and waving frantically, obviously proud his brother had stood up for the girl. Luca smiled and waved a bit back before looking back to Yun.

Yun didn’t take his hand, rising on her own and brushing some of the snow off of her dress.
“A bad one I suppose, but I think you did right by Nico.” Yun said, biting back a grin remembering the adorable child from where SHE had rescued him so long before. But certainly he didn’t remember her face. Yun might be cold and stand off-ish, but she couldn’t resist children in any light, that was her soft spot. Right now she was fighting off the urge to wave and run over to Nico and ask how he had been.
"You know Nico?" Luca asked, cocking his brow as he went ahead and took his hand back after it was denied. He placed it back into his pocket and eyed the girl in front of him. She didn't look like someone his father would bring around, at least not around Nico.
Nico came running up, catching Luca off gaurd, and he quickly slid to a stop in front of Yun, out of breath. He grinned and pointed up at her.
"I know you! You're that girl from before!" He said, giddy.

“Very good! You remembered? I’m surprised.” Yun laughed, dropping down to her knees immediately to be at eye level with Nico, despite already being cold and wet. “How have you been, sweetheart?” She asked kindly, looking at him with the uttermost fondness.
"Uh-huh, I remember. You're that girl who rescued me from those bad guys!" Nico said, which made Luca jolt as he moved to look at his little brother.
"What bad guys?" He asked, concerned. Why wasn't he told about this? Why didn't he know until now?
Nico shrugged and looked up at Luca.
"I donno who they were." He admitted, which was true, before he went back to grinning at Yun. "I've been good! Luca's taking me out ALL day today! We went and got lunch, he talked to some friends, we played here, and he talked to more friends, and and," he paused to sniff, keeping a bit of snot from running down his face, "next we're gonna go see what's playing at the cinema maybe and go to dinner!"
