“Oh, Luca…” Franky said slowly with a short nod, not looking over at Candice as he measured out some salt. He knew what that meant, and that Candice had no idea. Franky had no place telling Haze how to live his life, but this was dangerous and he felt Candice ought to know. Lorain had full knowledge of his and Syd’s fiasco’s.

"But he said he'd be back later this evening and he's usually good about being on time, so you can talk to him or whatever when he gets back." Candice said, moving across the kitchen to stand beside Franky at the stovetop. She closely observed his actions and then smiled, glancing up at his face.

“One of these days, I’m going to have to teach you some simple recipes. And supervise your cooking of course.” He chuckled and smiled over at her as he spread out some seasonings and stirred it slowly.

"That'd be great! Although, I'm not sure even the simplest of recipes stands a chance in my kitchen." Candice laughed. She watched Franky intently before clearing her throat. He'd been coming around for awhile and to be honest, she felt like she didn't know that much about him...and she was curious. "So, besides being a regular Chef Boyardee, what else can you do? What are you into?" She asked.

“Me? I’m not really into anything. I just have a lot things I’m good at, skills I’ve acquired in life that have become useful. I’m more or less an out doorsy person.” Franky said.

Candice's eyes lit up upon him saying that.

"Really? I LOVE the outdoors." She said with a wide grin plastered on her face. "When Haze was little, I used to take him out camping out in the hills every so often and we'd go on hikes and watch the stars. Most of my better days were spent in the great outdoors with Haze." She said, reminiscing on the good old days when she'd tote Haze around in the boonies..

Franky smiled as he stirred in some spices into the soup. “I wasn’t always an out doorsy person. It grew on me when I was young and it stuck with me to my later years. But I gotta say nothing else is really of as much interest really in the ways of hobbies.” He said.

"My parents actually got me into the outdoors. My dad used to take me and my mom camping and I just remember it being so much fun. Those were good days, and I wanted to share that with Haze, so naturally I just stuck to waht I loved and took him out." Candice laughed before giving Franky a light nudge. "And there's gotta be more than that to you. I'm sure there is."

“Oh no, there isn’t. I’m pretty two dimensional.” Franky laughed, nudging Candice back. “I don’t know, maybe I just haven’t found what I really like yet.” He shrugged.

"Well, be sure to keep looking. It might just be around the corner." Candice assured, nodding with a slight smile as she bumped Franky back with her hip.

“Watch it, I’m cooking.” Franky teased, poking her side. “Don’t want to start some kind of nudge war in the kitchen, do you?” He laughed.

"I suppose you're right, but later on, you're getting it. I've started this war and I'll finish it." Candice laughed as she jolted away from his finger.

“Yeah, yeah, you’re all talk. Now get a bowl, soups done.” Franky chuckled, waving her on.

"Psh, all talk? You clearly don't know me well enough, Franky." Candice teased before scooting over to a cupboard to grab up two mismatched bowls, offering one to Franky. "Since you cooked it, serve yourself up first." She smiled.

Franky took the bowl and poured some of the soup into it before handing it back to Candice and trading for the empty bowl. “Ladies first,” he smiled before filling the second bowl for himself.
