Darrin went ahead and sat himself down across from Angel, adjacent just from the swing with Aerwyn and thusly the ring's hiding spot. He smiled across the table and offered out the box of tacos to Angel first.

"How was work?" He asked, mostly to start an off-hand conversatoin.

"Well, they don't call it work for nothing. It was a hard day for tips, but it was fine." Angel nodded, flipping the lid open to the box and picking out a taco.

"Mmm I don't see how it could be a hard day for tips for a pretty girl like you." Darrin teased as he put the tacos at the center of the table and grabbed a few for himself.

"Oh stop," she laughed and playfully slapped his arm. "It just depends on the customers." Angel shrugged and bit into her taco.

"Well, hopefully some day soon you won't have to work at the restaurant or at all if you don't want. Hopefully I'll start making some real cash and I'll be able to take care of you and Aerwyn." Darrin smiled a hopeful looking grin.

"Well, I try, but I'd like to try for more." Darrin nodded as he took a bite of his own taco. "I want to get us a place soon, and make enough money to support all of us so you won't have to work as hard." He said upon swallowing.

"I'll always work hard Darrin, work hard or don't work at all." Angel shrugged, losing some taco meat. "But it's a nice goal to have, I wouldn't mind us having our own place. But don't run yourself ragged." She said.

"Fair enough, but I'd rather you not have to work as hard and I'd like to lavish you in expensive gifts." Darrin said with a chuckle as he reached across the table for Angel's hand. "After all, it's what you deserve."

"But I want to." Darrin smiled. "In fact..." He leaned over to Aerwyn's chair and went ahead and grabbed up the ring he'd stowed away. He settled it into the palm of his hand and held it out to Angel. "I'd like to lavish and love you for the rest of your days."

Darrin merely grinned as he opened up the box and proceeded to ease himself down onto his knee before Angel.

"You know, I was crazy about you from day one, I really was, and now, almost a year later, I realize I had every reason to be head-over-heels for you. You're a gorgeous girl, Angel, and you're smart and kind. You've given me endless love and a beautiful daughter. I love coming home to you every evening. I love coming home and being able to wrap my arms around you and having you say that you love me just as much as I love you, and I'd like nothing more than to have that and everything else for the rest of our lives." Darrin said, still smiling as he looked up at Angel. "Angel, it would mean the world to me if you'd be my wife and I know I'm not perfect, but I'd try my hardest to be the best husband, someone worthy of you. What do yo say?"

Angel's eyes were welling up with tears and her face flushed red as she eased off her chair and onto her knees in front of him. Disregarding the ring for just a moment, she placed both hands on the sides of his face, and kissed him passionately before pulling away.

She pressed her forehead to his before licking her lips and slowly nodding. "Yes. Yes Darrin, I will marry you and be your wife; for how ever long you'll take me." She whispered.
