Darrin laughed and moved to catch Angel's lips with his own, grin still upon his face as he did so. He reached up and placed a hand on Angel's shoulder, brushing his fingertips over her shoulder and neckline before settling on her cheek as well.

"Well, as long as you like it, its all fine and dandy then." He said with a smile.

"Well, I'm glad you didn't in that case." Darrin smiled as he ran his hand over Angel's hair. He went ahead and kissed her forehead before settling deeper into the sofa. "So, I know you're anxious and everything, but besides all that, how did your day go? What'd you do?" He asked, glancing down at her.

“Turned in some applications, hunted around for help wanted signs, asked around if anyone needed work done for some spare cash, came home and called to check in on some places I already applied to- and now I’m here.” Angel explained, feeling like a failure in her quest for work.

"Your brother call today?" Darrin asked, hoping to get off the topic of job hunting. He too was feeling like a failure in the job search department, especially because he wanted to be like his dad in the "bring home the bacon" aspect. If he had it his way, he'd work and Angel would be able to live in a cushy manner without a care in the world, but that wasn't how it was going to work and he knew it.

“I haven’t looked, I’m sure he has though.” Angel sighed, leaning back. Her Brother was persistent and relentless in his quest to take care of Angel.

"I think we'd have to alert the authorities if he didn't. He's called just about every day now, yeah?" Darrin said, reaching down to pat at Angel's thigh.

“He has,” Angel sighed. “I think he gets it from my Mother, but he just never really seems to give up. Since he was little he’s always found something to fight for.” She said with an exasperated tone.

Darrin chuckled a bit and gave Angel's thigh a slight squeeze.

"Well, at least he cares, that's good, right?" He said.

“Of course,” Angel agreed. “I can’t say I blame him, he has every right to be protective.” She nodded in thought. Zeke and her were close as close could be before the divorce and her running away. They fit together like a puzzle. He had always been protective and clingy to Angel, she was more a mother to him and Annabel then their own.

"Yeah, but you should probably tell him that I've got it covered." Darrin said, smiling a bit as he ran his hand up and down Angel's thigh, settling it back on her knee. He drummed his fingers over her leg and sighed a bit. "Is he still trying to get you to move back in?" He asked out of curiosity.

“He is, he’s convinced that Mother is angry but will get over it and see that it’s high time she took care of me. Which I keep telling him is very very unlikely. But he keeps saying that he wouldn’t let her hurt me anyways, etc.” Angel explained.

Darrin cocked a brow and turned slightly to face Angel better. He shook his head in confusion.

"What do you mean 'wouldn't let her hurt you'?" He asked.

While he and Angel had been together for awhile, he only knew certain aspects of Angel's childhood. He'd been informed of the wrong doings of her father towards her and a few things here and there, but nothing really beyond that.
